FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
28-JUN-2023 (OTTAWA) — Pardon Applications of Canada (“PAC”), a leading BBB Accredited Pardon & U.S. Waiver processing firm, has announced the return of “On Demand” File Updates for applicants across Canada in the process of applying for a Canadian Pardon and/or U.S. Waiver.
Back in April 2023, PAC announced changes to the way applicants requested a file update. The idea was good in theory — an automatic monthly email update would be issued to all Pardon & U.S. Waiver applicants across Canada providing an update on the status of each file. April & May updates were indeed issued, but some applicants communicated that they weren’t receiving the updates or there were technical concerns. As well, many applicants shared that they preferred to have the option of requesting a file update on demand in the My Account Dashboard. PAC listened, and the Request a File Update feature is back.
To Request a File Update
1️⃣ Login to your My Account Dashboard
2️⃣ Select “Request a File Update” and submit the form
3️⃣ Most likely, you’ll receive the update within 48 business hours to your email address on file. If Client Care deems it necessary, you may be contacted by phone.
Update Policies
Regular status files can request an update once every sixty (60) days, while PRIORITY status files can request an update once every thirty (30) days.
PAC has also improved the quality of the updates sent to applicants. The updates generated through the Dashboard are now more customized and specific to the applicant’s file.
